Just lost everything...

  • For the past few weeks Ive been playing, got a lot of upgraded MTM cards, episode cards, etc.  Played without logging in to mobage for whatever reason, so my name was gamer5838626 or w/e.

Anyways, went to buy 100 coins, logged into mobage under my actual account (that I didnt even know I had) and it reset me to the beginning of the game.  Is there any way to get back all that Ive worked for?

    • Unfortunately other people have posted about this same situation, I guess the word didn't get around to everyone. When you start the game, you can play as a guest; which is were your long numerical name came from. Once you create an account and give yourself a name, it causes your guest account to go away. Your best option is send an inquiry to Mobage help desk. That can up to 24 hours, sorry to here that you lost your stuff.

    • The same thing happened to me when I first started playing. Thankfully I only lost about a week of work after I went to spend some free mobacoins.

      Good luck! Kamotz

      I didn't bother contacting Mobage since I didn't lose much, wasn't a event week.

    • Good luck, man.  I really hope you're able to recover your stuff.

    • So, when you create an account, it transfers your guest progress?

No, the opposite.  When you elect to start playing under your Mobage account, any anonymous (spark/gamer) progress is lost.

Sucks I know. I'm too far in to create a personal account now, and as such have spent $0. Does anyone know if the anonymous accounts can make purchases?

    • When I first started, I was trying to find out how to change my name.  I finally figured out I had to create an account, in which I did and still had my stuff.

This statement reflects more on what XXxBreak just said.

      Ouch. A little unnecessary IMHO.

    • Would have given up, use the money to buy a real transformers toy people! don't be so blinded in this game so much.

        Loading editor
    • That is why it's hard to make progress. People actually put money into it.

Just tried this and it worked OK. Created a new mobage account (from a new email addy) and it transferred my Gamerxxxxx progress across, no probs. Thanks for the tip.

    • I was a "gamer account" during FF event. When I went to buy some coins it asked if i wanted secure my data and purchases by creating account. I did and everything was transferred from generic account to my named account. I noticed if you go to mobage page directly and attempt to create account it wipes out data when creating account instead of transferring it.

    • I wanted to revisit this post for @99.242.96.196 I found this on the Mobage help site.

Guest Accounts - If I uninstall and reinstall the game while logged in as a guest, what happens to my game data and purchased MobaCoin?Edit

Last Updated: May 13, 2013 03:52PM PDTYou will need to contact the Mobage Support Team for assistance since your game data and purchases will not be accessible after the app has been re-installed or removed.
Any game progress or MobaCoin purchases under a guest account will become inaccessible if the game is removed or the device is lost.

If you lose access to your guest account and thus MobaCoin purchases made under that account, you can email our Mobage Support team by hitting the "Email Us" link and include your guest gamertag (ie guest1234)* to work out a solution.

*Note: Your guest gamertag will be displayed upon booting up the game.

    • This burned me yesterday :( I unwisely pulled an uninstall/reinstall and wiped out my "spark" account. Still waiting for a reply from Mobage to see if it can be salvaged. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Should have done my research first. If any rooted Android users are reading this, Titanium Backup won't save you.

Mobage won't be any help either. Sorry.

    • I've got a question similar to this one:

I'm currently playing on my iphone with a mobage account.  Can I log in and play with another android phone?  If I do that, am I able to log back in with my iphone?

You should be able to. I switch playing between my iPhone and iPad. I don't see why it should be a problem with another Android phone. Just make sure to not be signed in on both devices because it won't update your changes unless you actually log out and log back in.

if you can find the name of your spark account, then you will be able to do it.  I had a very similar problem (but I am ios).  I couldn't remember my gamer tag, but i remembered the exact place i came in in a previous tournament, and once we got that, we could find the account no problem and they set up a permanent mobage account for me...

    • @RickyTes - How do you log out?  I can't find a log out function in the game.

        Loading editor
    • The only way I've found to logout is to go to your mobage account. Click on profile scroll all the way down and there is a logout option. There may be an easier way but this is how I do it.

Two ways: right when you start the app and the Tiered Space Bridge pop-up appears or you're on the option to go to the episode/main menu, there's a Mobage icon in the upper right hand corner that'll take you into your Mobage account.

Or in the main menu, click on Allies and click on the Mobage icon on the upper right.

Then from there, click on your user name and scroll to the bottom of your profile, there will be a Logout button.

    • I play on iPhone and iPad - I leave myself signed in on both devices and have no issues at all.

I also transferred from a gamer tag without any problems after 4 events - I did wait until an event break though in case anything happened

    • I contacted Mobage support and they helped me transfer my questaccount into a real account. Just had to give them a username and email I wanted to use.

I am surprised that they would allow that. Someone could just pick one of the top gamer or spark players, contact mobage, and steal the account. There should be some sort of security measure.

    • They salvaged my account too. I suspect they can check your device's identifier, and/or your Google account if you'd made any purchases.

        Loading editor
    • But when they move the account data, they aren't doing it though your device are they? Unless either you are using your device to transfer the account or give it to them (which is still honors based) they have no way of knowing that the device is the same. Plus, some people use multiple devices for the same account.

Also, I have been told that you can't make purchases without a mobage account so there wouldn't be purchases prior to the mobage account.

        Loading editor
    • I definitely made purchases against my "spark" account. I wonder if that's part of what allowed Mobage to easily recover my account.

        Loading editor
    • u can make purchases with a spark or gamer account. My email that i was using to contact them with was the same as the billing email for my app purchases, so that was likely their identification check.  However skimpy that is... obviously the account in question for me was inactive for several days because i couldn't access it (more evidence).

they do use device identifiers to identify who you are; but my case was that i had switched phones and my old phone was not with me any longer.

Not sure what to say to that but I have an iPad 2 with some version of OS 6 and it only crashes occasionally.
